Advantage Design Group has developed a new web app for their client, ACR Electronics. Created specifically to ACR Electronics’ needs, Advantage Design Group developed the app to serve their clients’ worldwide sales staff and dealer network.
ACR Electronics is the leading development center for emergency beacons that are designed with one purpose in mind: Saving Lives. Through combined technology expertise in the marine, aviation, outdoor and military markets, ACR Electronics designs and manufactures quality rescue beacons and survival gear. They serve the needs of boaters, pilots, hunters, hikers and combat troops, not to mention many of the leading boat builders and aircraft manufacturers in the industry.
ACR Electronics’ needed to reduce printing costs and organize large amounts of marketing collateral for their sales and merchandising areas. Advantage Design Group created a custom mobile web app for them that improved communication efforts with a store merchandiser, catalog module, product image accessibility, and a promotions module. The money and time saved offsets the creation cost - significantly.

By using the Retailer Merchandiser app, ACR Electronics can now help their representatives stay connected on-site with resellers of their products. This app creates an intuitive auditing system to record store-specific items to maximize the efficiency.
The web based app works on iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Android tablets and Blackberry phones. Keeping this app web based allows for easy updates, larger compatibility, faster deployment and the ability to make updates via a Content Management System (CMS). A database of contacts is loaded into the CMS in order to make it easy to email clients the appropriate content (PDF catalog, product image or promotional material). A template email is created and managed in the CMS, but the sales person is able to write their own message in the body of the email if they choose.

The catalog module houses all ACR Electronics’ catalogs in an organized fashion. Users choose a catalog from a list or use the search feature. An electronic pageturner booklet version of the catalog is optimized for iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Android tablets and Blackberry phones. The built in device functionality allows users to zoom in and swipe through pages. Then they can download or email a PDF copy of the catalog to anyone in the contact list
Product Image and Promotions Modules
The product image and promotions modules house all ACR Electronics product images and current promotional items. Each module has an opening screen with a category list. Once a category is chosen, users may scroll through the thumbnails and select buttons that allow for downloading or emailing a high resolution or low resolution version to anybody in the contact list.
All collateral, images, promotions are searchable through the app and once found can be shared or posted on Facebook, Twitter, or through email.
