One Direction Tickets: Ticket Down has Slashed 1D Ticket Prices in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl, in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field and in Detroit at Ford Field
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 07, 2014 -- One Direction is one of the most popular bands in the world of music today. The band burst onto the scene in 2010 after finishing in third place on The X Factor. Despite not walking away as the winners, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson did earn a contract with Simon Cowell. The group recently announced that they will be heading out on their third tour as the headlining act and tickets for their tour originally went on sale in early December 2013. This popular band has added 3 more dates to their schedule in Pasadena, Detroit and Philadelphia.
The Rose Bowl, located in Pasadena, California, opened in 1922 and has since recorded a history that has seen it become of the most iconic stadiums in sports. It hosts the Rose Bowl Game each year in NCAA football and has also seen numerous other historic and memorable events in its history. The stop by One Direction will be another in a long list of big-time attractions at the facility.
Over the years, Lincoln Financial Field has been home to many memorable plays and events. The field, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been the home to the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League since opening in 2003. In mid-August another memorable event will be added to its history when boy band One Direction brings their "Where We Are" tour to the stadium.
Ford Field opened in 2002 and has been the home for the Detroit Lions ever since. The stadium has also been the home to many college football games including the MAC Championship and Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. The stadium has also held Super Bowl XL, WrestleMania 23 and was even host to an NCAA basketball game between Michigan State and Kentucky Wildcats. At the wrestling event, an attendance record was made with more than 80,000 fans, a number that One Direction would like to reach.
One Direction is used to seeing fans in large numbers at their concerts. Their first two concerts as headlining acts have seen them perform at more than 160 shows including more than 130 in their most recent tour earlier this year. The "Take Me Home Tour" was originally set to take place in just the United Kingdom and Ireland, but expanded its dates to include shows in the United States,Canada and Australia.
Should the group continue to see their popularity increase, the "Where We Are" tour could see the number of shows increase, but the chances of more than 130 shows on this tour might be too much to ask for.
