'Teleradiology Solutions' co-founder and Chief Dreamer, Bangalore based Dr. Sunita Maheshwari was conferred the prestigious ‘Amazing Indian’ award presented by ‘Mahindra Rise’ in association with ‘Times Now’. The award which was announced last night in New Delhi was handed over to Dr. Sunita Maheshwari by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha – ‘Smt. Meira Kumar’ at an inspirational power packed event organized by Times Now. Dr. Maheshwari was selected in the category of Global Indians who have returned to India and done amazing work in this country.

Apart from co-founding ‘Teleradiology Solutions’- a Top 3 teleradiology company in the United States and globally, ‘Telerad Rxdx’ clinic in Whitefield and ‘Telerad Tech’- a technology healthcare company, she and founder Dr. Arjun Kalyanpur have generously used their profits of entrepreneurship to fund playgrounds for poor children through People4People – a trust fund for playgrounds in Karnataka and to take Tele-Diagnostics to remote parts of India. The award recognized that, over the years she has installed over 125 playgrounds in Government Schools at Karnataka positively impacting over 25000 children every year.

In her acceptance speech, Dr. Maheshwari said she often grumbled privately that our country has become obsessed with Page 3 and there should be a Page 3 of Goodness as well. She was therefore delighted that Times Now had taken this initiative to showcase the wonderful stories of good happening throughout the country. ‘I hope that this award will bring awareness to the issue that poor children in our country need play time and playgrounds and that there will be a movement across India to ensure that every child has access to one’.
