SAN FRANCISCO, CA (PRWEB) February 12, 2014
H5, a leading provider of global technology-assisted review and e-discovery services, today announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors: Benjamin Allen, President, Marsh & McLennan Agency, LLC and former President and CEO of Kroll, Inc., and Stanley Stroup, former General Counsel of Wells Fargo and longtime member of H5’s Strategic Advisory Board. As new members of the Board, they join Nicolas Economou, Chairman and CEO of H5, Jeff Kangas, Executive Managing Director, and Raymond L. Ocampo Jr., former Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of Oracle Corporation.
“H5 is committed to bringing the most experienced and talented leaders to our Board from both the technology and corporate legal domains,” said H5’s CEO, Nicolas Economou. “Ben and Stan bring to H5 years of experience right where client needs and potential solutions intersect in our industry.”
The appointment of these two veterans comes at a moment in time when corporations and law firms seek ways to reduce the expense incurred by the massive data volumes often implicated in litigation and courts are taking a more open stance in allowing use of technology to manage it. “The global reach of companies and their electronic information is driving an increasingly sophisticated market that’s looking to leverage the right technology and expertise. We’re very fortunate to be able to draw on the insights of these two experienced professionals as we continue to enhance the services we provide in the areas of e-discovery, strategic search and information governance. I’m confident Ben and Stan will make enormous contributions as our business evolves to meet the growing needs of our clients,” Economou said.
The Board of Directors is complemented by a prestigious group of Scientific and Strategic Advisory Board members, including New York University School of Law Professor Arthur R. Miller, and Professor Mitchell P. Marcus, Ph.D, RCA Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Former Chair of the Department of Computer & Information Science at University of Pennsylvania.
