TWO FOR TEXAS: Two Antique Postcard and Paper Shows Coming Soon to Texas
Plano and Houston, Texas (PRWEB) February 11, 2014 -- “We are always pleased to present Antique Postcard and Paper shows in Texas, as the collector groups, the archivists, the educators, and just about everyone enjoys the chance to find great historical images of Texas' great past as well as vintage images from all over the world,” said Jim Taylor, Courthouse Square Antique Postcards. “Many early photographs of the Southwest are exhibited both by vendors as well as local individuals. By having these two shows in two Texas' cities a week apart, we will be able to have a larger variety of vendors and collectors from around the U.S."
One admission covers both shows – both days.
The 25th Annual Spring Dallas Metro Antique Postcard & Paper Americana Show and Sale is Friday, February 28–Saturday, March 1, 2014, in Plano Texas.
Doors open Friday Feb 28, from 10 am – 6 pm. Admission is $3, with an “early bird” admission of $5 available at 9 am. Saturday March 1, hours are 10 am – 4 pm.
The spring Dallas metro postcard and paper show is held at the Southfork Hotel (formerly Fred Harvey Hotel), Hwy 75, 1600 North Central Expry, Exit 29(East) Plano. Plenty of free parking is available.
The show and sale offers vintage to modern postcards, for sale in all price ranges, with archival postcard supplies, and reference volumes also available for purchase. Barr's Postcard News and other postcard publication issues offered at no charge while supplies last. This show is held annually in association with the Dallas Metroplex Postcard Club; membership information available at the show.
This annual postcard show involves buyers and sellers bringing nearly a million antique postcards for sale, as well as buying collections and accumulations, and providing appraisals of most all vintage postcards, old photographs, and paper ephemera. Original, historical photos and printed images of Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Civil War, Border War, Mexico, Western Americana, Route 66, Mining, Sports, Political, Maps, Native Americans, Rodeo, Movie, Railroadiana, Oklahoma and Indian Territory, Victorian era, Kewpies, 101 Ranch, and 1000's of other topical and state view postcards and other historical paper memorabilia and ephemera are available for sale. Additionally boxes of inexpensive cards are also offered.
The following week the Greater Houston Antique Postcard and Paper Show opens Friday, March 7 – Saturday, March 8, in Houston.

The Greater Houston show and sale is scheduled for North Villa,(Former Ramada Inn) Houston-North, 16510 Interstate 45 North(North Freeway) Houston, Texas. Exit is just south of Woodlands exit. Plenty of free parking is available.
