Frederick, MD (PRWEB) February 12, 2014
Did you know that approximately one out of every three homeless people in the U.S. is under 18 years of age, and that the most requested item that teenagers in shelters request is a pair of blue jeans?
Why jeans? Because jeans are durable, warm and provide a sense of normalcy for teens in crisis.
Frederick based online marketing company, The URL Dr., has teamed up with Caldwell and Kaufman Butler, students at Mercersburg Academy, in Mercersburg, PA, to take part in the annual Teens for Jeans campaign. National sponsors of Teens for Jeans include Aeropostale and DoSomething.org who will provide a $10,000 cash prize to the school that donates the most jeans. Students at Mercersburg can donate jeans at drop off locations in each dorm.
Until February 14th, donate any gently worn jeans and as a thank you from The URL Dr., businesses will receive a free Local SEO Check Up (valued at $99), the ultimate analysis tool for determining the health of your website and how well you are reaching your target audience (including audits of your business listings in local directories, on Google+, a search engine ranking report, and a social media report.) The URL Dr., Kim Butler said, “Homelessness is a national epidemic. We are excited by the opportunity to not only help teens in need, but also local businesses looking to increase their online presence.”
To participate and receive a free Local SEO Check Up, just drop off a pair of jeans before February 14th at the donation locations listed below, snap a picture of the donation and post it The URL Dr.’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/theurldr) or mail your jeans to:
