The Outliers Series Announces Release of New Book Titled: Ingredients of Outliers for Young Adults
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) February 11, 2014 -- Today,Outliers Publishing announced that the next book in the Outliers Series will release in March 2014, entitled Ingredients of Outliers for Young Adults: A Student Handbook for Success. According to author Dr. John Shufeldt, Ingredients of Outliers for Young Adults is a life and career guide to help inspire future thought leaders and catalysts for change.
Ingredients of Outliers for Young Adults is preceded by the first book in the Outliers Series titled, Ingredients of Outliers: A Recipe for personal Achievement, published in July 2013.
After local first grade teacher, Brenda Rico, took to reading the book for her class, encouraging students to reach for their goals even at a young age, Dr. Shufeldt was inspired to rewrite Ingredients of Outliers with a younger audience in mind. He received one handwritten letter from one of Rico’s students that said Dr. Shufeldt, “inspired me to be a better version of myself”.
According to Brenda Rico her students had a strong reaction to the lessons portrayed in the book that was originally intended for a professional audience.
“The kids were on the edge of their seats and every day after we came back from lunch, I read them more,” said Rico. “They were taking notes, they were asking questions and I actually had a kid writing on his arm trying to take notes.”
According to Dr. Shufeldt, the goal of Ingredients of Outliers for Young Adults is to act as a surrogate mentor for students and young professionals who want to achieve more than they previously imagined was possible.
“Everyone needs a mentor, whether virtual or otherwise in order to spur each other on to achieve their goals,” said Shufeldt.
Ingredients of Outliers for Young Adults is packed with advice and inspirational stories from Shufeldt’s personal endeavors as well as those of historical “outliers” and influential acquaintances. After it’s publication in March as the second book in the “Outliers Series”, it will be followed by at least 8 other books over the course of 2014. The books are intended for students, college graduates and anyone interested in entering or furthering their career. The goal of the series is to offer books specific to sought after career fields with insider information and recommended channels for pursuing that career from experts in each respective profession.
The career fields featured in this book series include but are not limited to: Medicine, Law, Sports, Design / Engineering, The Arts / Entertainment, Entrepreneurism / Business, Service to Country/ Service to Mankind, Writing / Journalism, and Travel / Leisure.
Barbara Duncan Ph.D,, and Chief Operating Officer at Edu-Prize Phoenix Arizona says, that Ingredients of Young Outliers empowers young people with the tools to create positive possibilities in every aspect of their lives. “I highly recommend this book to all teachers, parents and school districts to use this book as an opportunity to create an “exhilarated learning” environment which is so critical to student success." Says Duncan
Mary Vallelonga, owner and teacher at Little Friends Montessori Schoolhouse says, ““Ingredients of Young Outliers”, is filled with cornerstone virtues of courage, hope, humility, respect, integrity, trust and love. It shares the importance of how “mentors” can make a life changing difference in someone’s life. I am certain that everyone who reads these stories will hold their heads up a little higher, their smile will be a little brighter, their tears will be tears of joy and they will believe that they too have what it takes to be an “Outlier”.
