The Students of Tomorrow Need our Help Today-- Remember Those Broke College Days?
Auburn, AL (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- Every year over 900,000+ students are forced out of college and the number 1 reason is finances. As one of the countries leading Nonprofits for student assistance, Priceless Givings & Donations believes that only through unity and commitment can a student be provided with the opportunity to achieve and succeed throughout his/her college career without the fear that most students are facing each and every day. “The rise of inflation, the budget crisis and annual increases are some of the reasons that college has become financially unattainable for some individuals. While there are government grants and financial aid, some students are still left with too great of debt to afford to stay.” (eLearners) According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in October 2011, 68.3 percent of 2011 high school graduates were enrolled in colleges or universities. This means that 31.7 percent were not enrolled, mainly do to the fact that they could not afford it. And more than half of the enrolled students had to work to help support themselves.
Priceless Givings & Donations is proud to announce the commencement of their awareness program “Brighter Future”. Brighter Future is a one year awareness program designed to inform college students on how PG&D can assist them and also to find more sponsors to help sponsor the students. Years of research and preparation was put into the program to help make the students future brighter. PG&D is a program that is responding to the growing number of students dropping out of college due to financial issues. Approximately three million students enroll in some form of higher education each year.
● 33% of students dropped out of college each year. (990,000 Students)
● 25% of them are freshmen (247,500 Students)
● 60% of all college dropouts received no help from their parents. (594,000 Students)
● 70% of dropouts have no scholarship or loan support. (693,000 Students)
Priceless Givings & Donations does not feel that it is necessary to take out a huge loan just to get one book. It is also not necessary to get an extra job to pay for a little gas if a student lives a good distance away from campus. Some programs give more money to students than needed. Giving extra money to students who do not need it can be more harmful than helpful. As well as denying a student because they failed to meet one of the requirements. With PG&D those issues are taken care of. The only money that is given is the money needed to help take care of that emergency or specific need. Students do not have to pay it back, so there is no debt to incur.
“After completing college I decided to create a nonprofit that is aimed towards helping college students. I have had some bad experiences while pursuing my college degrees. Problems such as trying to pay my bills and pay for school on minimum wage jobs made it very difficult. Now I want to lower some of the burden for the students of the future and provide for them what I needed myself” said Jesse Price, Founder and CEO of Priceless Givings & Donations.
Priceless Givings & Donations is assisting college students with book fees, living expenses and any other financial issue that can hinder a students’ academic success. PG&D strives to provide them with a sense of hope for the future and with your help it will happen. Sponsoring a student starts at $1/week. To begin, visit the site at (http://pricelessgivings.org) and push the "Become a Sponsor" call to action button.
