SavvyDox represents a new paradigm for document collaboration for distributing and reviewing documents. Authors can upload documents directly from Microsoft Word on Windows, or any PDF file on Windows, Mac or iPad, and then share those documents among multiple recipients. Anyone receiving the document can add comments, private or shared. Shared comments are immediately visible to the author and all other readers. It’s the best way to collaborate on a document review.
This parallel review process also allows all recipients to link comments to other reviewers’ comments. Instead of receiving multiple marked up documents back, the author receives one stream of sequential comments lined up with the page they are reviewing in Microsoft Word. SavvyDox provides the first viable alternative to Word’s Track Changes.
The Mac release complements the existing iPad and Windows SavvyDox readers that are already available.
SavvyDox’s tracking of edits to a document is unique in the industry. Recipients are automatically notified of new versions, and can compare the latest version with the version that they were last reading (or any other version). There’s never any question of whether someone has the latest version of a document.
As a cloud based system, SavvyDox also keeps track of access to documents. While accessing the cloud, SavvyDox Document Analytics allow authors to determine which readers have downloaded and opened their documents, and if required, a document can be revoked.
