Ison Harrison is delighted that Stephen Knowles has joined as Head of Company and Commercial services.
Based in the firm’s Leeds city centre headquarters, Stephen will now manage and drive forward the commercial profile of the business.
Having been a Solicitor and Director at York based solicitors Burn & Company, Stephen brings with him a wealth of experience and business acumen.
Providing practical legal solutions to a host of small and medium sized businesses for over a decade, he has developed a sound appreciation of what impacts on businesses and their owners.
Stephen has two particular specialisms in dental and sporting law.
As a proud member of the Association of Specialist Providers to Dentists (ASPD), he has gained in-depth knowledge of the legal needs of dental professionals and acts for many throughout the North of England and increasingly further afield.
Recently completing a Masters (LL:M) in sports law, Stephen is empowered to use this specialist knowledge to advise those making a living from sport – which has received recognition through his appointment to the Management Board of York City Knights Rugby League Club.
Richard Timperley, Head of Finance at Ison Harrison, said “Stephen’s appointment is a real coup for the firm and his drive and commitment build on our business strategy.
Stephen will enhance our commercial team and his specialisms of dental law and sports law are a becoming increasingly in demand.”
Managing Partner Jonathan Wearing echoed Richard Timperley “I welcome Stephen to the firm safe in the knowledge that his ability will be a real benefit to both the firm and our increasing client base”.
Stephen noted, “The opportunity to join Ison Harrison is one which I relish. The firm is progressive and well respected in all that it does. Although we already have many clients outside the Leeds region, I wish to ensure our commercial services are more widely accessible in order to support businesses and individuals seeking legal advice.”
