The company, the most popular self-service email marketing provider to Internet Retailer’s Top 1000 online retailers, grew its list of Top 1000 clients by 49 percent Y/Y in 2013, netting Bronto the second highest overall number of customers in the IR Top 1000. New brands signed in 2013 include Trish McEvoy, Hudson Shoes (UK), Godiva, Smith + Noble, Wilsons Leather, Franklin Covey, Woodcraft, Maui Jim, World Kitchen, and Boot Barn.
In a sign of the company’s expanding roster of large and mid-market retailers, Bronto set a new single-day record for number of emails it sent on Cyber Monday with 112 million emails, helping to significantly boost Cyber Week revenues for its customers.
Bronto continues to innovate, delivering new software enhancements consistent with its mission as the leading marketing automation platform for commerce marketers. In 2013, Bronto added new apps and integrations, including a more robust integration with the Magento eCommerce platform. Bronto significantly enhanced its segmentation capabilities to enable more advanced data-driven marketing. It is now even easier for marketers to precisely target shoppers based on past-purchase history and other commerce data. To help marketers stay up with the shifting habits of consumers, Bronto added an extensive library of responsive design email templates to its platform and a new Text-to-Join offering for fast mobile email sign-ups.
Bronto continues to build new commerce partnerships globally, including seven new system integrators in Australia. With the recent addition of NetSuite, the Bronto Marketing Platform is now deeply integrated with ten e-commerce platforms, giving Bronto broad reach that encompasses the majority of e-commerce sites. Approximately thirty new commerce marketing partners were added in 2013, bringing Bronto’s total number of partners to over one hundred.
Revenue and customer growth were complemented by continued staff expansion, most notably in engineering and sales. The company also increased office space by 67 percent in 2013.
