Maryland Addiction Recovery Center Makes Addiction Treatment More Accessible and Affordable For Greater Baltimore Metropolitan Residents through New Company Initiative
Towson, Maryland (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- Maryland Addiction Recovery Center, the new substance abuse treatment center in Towson, MD that is bringing the latest in comprehensive addiction treatment solutions to the Baltimore area, is proud to announce it's latest initiative: the "Alumni Engagement Program". This program, supported by the increased mental health and substance abuse benefits of the Affordable Care Act, will aid in making addiction treatment more accessible and affordable for those in need.
The program is an initiative of the founders of Maryland Addiction Recovery Center in an effort to offer drug and alcohol treatment to local Baltimore City, Baltimore County and surrounding area residents for as long as possible.
"Engaging a client for an extended period of time is key in improving outcomes, both treatment outcomes and recovery outcomes," said Sam Bierman, Executive Director of Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. "The longer a person suffering from substance abuse can be involved in a program and be regularly engaged by their clinician and a quality treatment team, the better their chances will be to not only get clean and sober but to stay clean and sober."
Maryland Addiction Recovery Center's "Alumni Engagement Program" is a program that will allow a client to engage with their treatment clinicians for a more extensive period of time. For any client that successfully completes the intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment program at Maryland Addiction Recover Center, that client will then have the opportunity to continue coming to group IOP sessions and receiving treatment free of charge for as long as they choose to do so. There is no time limit. The caveat is that the person receiving treatment must stay drug and alcohol free, which is determined through regular drug testing methods. This program is an extreme benefit to the person trying to stay clean and sober, but also supports the families, employers and the criminal justice system.
According to Maryland Addiction Recovery Center's Director of Business Development Zach Snitzer, the "Alumni Engagement Program" is an excellent opportunity to get more high quality, comprehensive treatment to more people in need.
"The Affordable Care Act is the largest expansion of mental health and substance abuse benefits in a generation," Snitzer explained. "Four million people that are currently insured and twenty-seven million uninsured will now have mental health and substance abuse benefits. So more people will be insured. Our program is covered by insurance, so much or all of our IOP treatment will be covered and paid for through insurance and therefore this new program is an excellent platform to give people the long term treatment they need to be successful in recovery and at a very low cost."
