Portland, Are Your Senses Tingling? They Will Be in May
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) February 13, 2014 -- Make room, mud and night runs. There is an intriguing newcomer in the event industry. Sense 5K is producing the 2014 Blue Dawn Tour in twelve of the healthiest US cities, including an event in the Portland area on May 3rd.
In addition to contributing to a local charity, the young company strives to fuel joy in healthy living, wonderment of the five senses, and appreciation for the human body in a dynamic atmosphere. “Based on the company’s goals we knew this event would be popular in Portland. The people here are so health conscious, and earth-friendly,” responded Sense 5K co-founder, Tyler Hatch.
As the name implies, Sense 5K is an event inspired by the five human senses. Participants feel, hear, smell, see, and taste as they complete an exhilarating 3.1 mile course. Upon arrival at the finish line attendees will be treated to “Sense Live”--Sense 5K’s heart-pounding blend of live entertainment, custom mixed music, stunning special effects, and endless dancing crafted to stimulate the senses.
According to the company the main area will include a variety of interactive elements including yoga, the Art Gallery--featuring the work of a local artist, as well as the Tunnel of Light--a walk-through optical illusion utilizing darkness and light.
People of all ages and fitness stages are encouraged to participate. “There is no limit to who will enjoy this event. The purpose of Sense 5K is not to compete, but to experience!” stated Hatch.
The Clark County Event Center will be hosting the Portland area tour date which is scheduled for May 3, 2014 from 9 AM until noon. Tickets and more information are available now at http://www.sense5k.com.
