Glenn Maslowsky Looks to Raise $50,000 via Kickstarter to Introduce New Product Line for The Machined Apparel Co.
West Falls, NY (PRWEB) February 13, 2014 -- This is a very exciting project for Glenn Maslowsky and team. If they can achieve and hopefully well exceed their goals, not only do they get the opportunity to use their skills and passion to develop high quality apparel related products, they will also get the opportunity to manufacture all the machined hardware within their own facility in the US.
As they expand their product lines, they will be working to develop relationships with other US suppliers to integrate even more stateside produced materials. If every American just spent $3.33 on USA made products, they could create almost 10,000 new “skilled” jobs in the US...that is huge.
When the team talked about the concept of this project as a group, the message was clear, it had to incorporate the same values they followed for the other products they developed over the years: high quality, visually creative, customer driven and made in the USA. However, this project differs drastically in one aspect of their values and that is the customer input. Past products have always been driven by some constraining design elements (weight, size, cost….) that limited how much feedback they could incorporate. With this project, the only limitation they have is what they can create in their minds. That allows them the flexibility to draw on their customer base to help drive the designs of new concepts.
One mission of this project is to encourage followers to use the website blog and chat areas to offer thoughts and comments on existing products and ideas for new products. To kick this project off, they needed a product where they could showcase some of their skills in both manufacturing and design as well as utilize some suppliers they feel have quality and a commitment for USA made products.
After a lot of research, belts and wrist/neck seemed like the right solution. They have prototyped five different themes for this launch; Classic, Structure, Strut, Signature and Rip. These themes will carry through into future fabric ware, glass frames, wallets, jewelry and apparel storage solutions…just to highlight a few. All of these belts are Machined Apparel Branded top grade American leather.
This project will only be funded if at least $50,000 is pledged by Sun, Mar 2 2014 10:23 PM +05:30.
