Association for Patient Experience Opens Nominations for 2014 Outstanding Caregiver and Practice of the Year Awards
Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) February 13, 2014 -- The Association for Patient Experience (AfPE) announces the call for entries for the 2014 Outstanding Caregiver Award and the 2014 Practice of the Year Award.
AfPE 2014 Outstanding Caregiver Award
Is there someone on staff that goes above and beyond his or her job responsibilities and consistently exhibits a superior commitment to the patient experience? The Outstanding Caregiver Award recognizes a healthcare employee who advances one or more of AfPE’s values:
• patient-centered care
• innovation
• research
• evidence-based practice
• sharing
He or she should provide high quality service, champion the patient experience and keep positive relationships in the workplace. Nominators should be prepared to provide specific examples. Eligibility requirements and nomination information can be found online.
Nominees will be recognized on the AfPE website and during Cleveland Clinic’s fifth annual Patient Experience Summit: Transforming Healthcare through Empathy and Innovation, which will take place May 18 to 21, 2014, at the newly opened Cleveland Convention Center in downtown Cleveland. One ultimate winner will be announced May 20 and awarded a trophy and $250.
AfPE 2014 Practice of the Year Award
The Practice of the Year Award is an annual award designed to honor outstanding innovations or improvements that enhance the patient experience and promote best practice development. The award recognizes an organization who promotes the use of performance improvement to enhance patient-centered care. • Process and/or planning
• Innovation
• Measured improvement demonstrated by data
• An ability to be replicated
• Relevance to the field of patient experience
Nominees will be recognized on the AfPE website and during Cleveland Clinic’s fifth annual Patient Experience Summit. One winner will be announced and presented an award May 20.
The deadline to submit a nomination for both the Outstanding Caregiver Award and Practice of the Year Award is Wednesday, March 19.
