Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) February 13, 2014
The University Club of Pasadena is pleased to announce the appointment of James Collis as Director of Membership. Mr. Collis brings several years of sales and marketing experience in the private club and hospitality industries, and will lead the membership recruitment effort on behalf of the prestigious University Club of Pasadena.
Mr. Collis has proven expertise in membership sales, specifically within the corporate membership market within Southern California’s most desirable private clubs. He has also served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for a regional leader in catering and event sales. “Between his corporate background and his achievements in the private club market, James’ skill set blends in perfectly with the business culture of the University Club,” said General Manager, Cyrus Afshin. “We are thrilled to have him as part of the team and look forward to continued success with our membership recruitment efforts among the Los Angeles area’s business community.”
The University Club of Pasadena is anticipating continued growth as it seeks to expand its marketing and awareness efforts among area professionals. “It’s not just about meetings anymore,” said Mr. Collis. “Business executives today are searching for better ways to entertain and engage their clients and colleagues in a private and professional business environment. Rather than getting together at a local coffee house for a business meeting, professionals are looking for a relaxed, yet refined meeting place where they are catered to in a private, exclusive atmosphere. Clubs are reinventing themselves and the University Club of Pasadena is leading the way in this regard, with innovative programs and activities, networking opportunities, a dedicated business services center, and a great staff in a warm, collegial environment – I really can’t think of a better place to conduct business and network with peers.”
The University Club of Pasadena is a vibrant, active social club located in downtown Pasadena. Chartered in 1922, the club offers a congenial place for professionals to meet for breakfast, lunch, afternoon cocktails or a private dinner. Its membership is comprised of men and women of all ages, many of whom are local area business professionals representing a variety of interests and backgrounds.
