Henderson, NV (PRWEB) February 12, 2014
Pacific Links International (PLI) announced today that it has signed on to become the latest World Corporate Golf Challenge (WCGC) License Holder. PLI will take the license in both the United States and Canada. PLI provides golfers with premium golf experiences through an innovative affiliate and reciprocal membership structure that offers access to nearly 100 of the finest golf clubs in the world.
Founded in the UK in 1993, the WCGC represents an international network of corporate golf tournaments promoted and run by licensees in association with local and national partners. WCGC has grown into the largest corporate golf tournament in the world with more than one million golfers having competed across the globe for the chance to represent their company, and country, at the World Finals.
“WCGC represents the perfect vehicle for PLI to engage its members, clients and affiliated partners. Through WCGC, we are able to offer a means to enhance the pleasure of golf with a competitive golf experience that could lead to representing one’s country internationally,” said Charles Lorimer, Chief Operating Officer of Pacific Links International. “WCGC is the type of high profile program that reinforces our commitment to exceptional standards for golf, wherever in the world our members or clients may live and play.”
The Canadian-owned golf company prides itself on offering members exceptional golf experiences by continuing to acquire leading golf properties in targeted, destination markets. Members enjoy more variety, flexibility and a wider range of membership categories and prices than traditional golf memberships. In North America, PLI owned properties span across Hawaii, California, Nevada and West Virginia.
“North America's participation is vital in a global event like the World Corporate Golf Challenge, so securing a well-respected and trusted partner like Pacific Links International is a major milestone for our business,” said Oliver Dury, WCGC Sales and Marketing Director. “PLI has the credentials, experience and facilities to deliver a world-class tournament and we look forward to building a long standing partnership for many years to come.”
Pacific Links plans to continue to grow its impressive portfolio and introduce an additional 50 affiliate golf clubs in 2014 and 150 clubs over the next three years with a presence in every major metropolitan and destination golf market in North America. PLI will specifically target clubs in: New York, Florida, Arizona, California and Pennsylvania as well as several international markets such as Toronto and New Zealand. About World Corporate Golf Challenge
The biggest corporate golf tournament in the world, World Corporate Golf Challenge began in the United Kingdom in 1993 and in the past 19 years, more than one million golfers have competed across the globe for the chance to represent their company and country at the World Finals.
In 1997 the event became so successful in the UK that the concept was rolled out around the world until it reached countries such as India, Malaysia, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, Portugal and Australia. As a result, the World Corporate Golf Challenge is now an international network of national amateur golf tournaments promoted and run independently by organizations (the licensees) in association with local national print media partners. The annual winners from each territory compete in the World Final representing not only their company but also their country. Worldcorporategolfchallenge.com.
