Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Gloucester Courthouse Clinic Offers Extended Hours
Gloucester, VA (PRWEB) February 11, 2014 -- Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Gloucester Courthouse clinic is pleased to offer extended hours for patients Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Located at 6970 Fox Hunt Lane in the heart of Gloucester’s historic Courthouse District, the Gloucester Courthouse Clinic offers typical orthopedic care, including treatment for neck and back pain, total joint replacement treatment, sports injury rehabilitation, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders treatment, certified hand therapy and balance and vertigo treatment.
There are also a personal and sports performance trainers at its adjoining Performance Center, where patients can coordinate their personal training with their physical therapist to take their recovery to the next level, or where those who have not become patients can improve their wellness and life performance to avoid becoming a patient.
“Our top referring physicians requested we extend our hours and we did,” said Natalie Conway, PT, MPT, OCS, ATC, Tidewater Physical Therapy’s Gloucester Regional Director and Clinical Director of the Courthouse location.
“We see patients in many capacities, but mainly after a physician refers them to our doors. What better compliment can we have than a physician asking us to give more access to our shared patients? We’re happy to accommodate the request.”
Also responding to a need in the community, later this quarter, the Gloucester Courthouse Clinic will begin offering a work performance program for patients recovering from an on-the-job injury and working to build their strength to return to work.
Knowing that patients can heal better and faster when they can get into a physical therapy clinic in a place that’s convenient and at a time that works around their schedule has long been a key part of Tidewater Physical Therapy’s dedication to clinical excellence and the core of its belief in access, said Jeff Verhoef, PT, MBA.
“Access is absolutely a driver for us,” said Verhoef, Tidewater’s Chief Executive Officer. “Research shows that the sooner we can involve a patient in an active, dynamic physical therapy program – get them access to therapy – the better chance they have for successful outcomes.”
For Tidewater Physical Therapy, access starts by having clinics geographically located where patients can get to a clinic close to their home and work, like at both ends of Gloucester County and throughout east and central Virginia.
Tidewater Physical Therapy is also “providers for every major insurance company except one,” Verhoef said.
