Officer Ally Jacobs to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Ally Jacobs, the retired UC Berkeley police officer who played a key role in the arrest of kidnapping suspect Phillip Garrido and the return of Jaycee Lee Dugard (El Dorado County Superior Court case # P10CRF0364), and currently travels the nation speaking about the importance of listening to your intuition, will receive the Christopher's Clubhouse Light of Hope, Lifetime Achievement Award on May 3, 2014 in Rancho Mirage, California.

The Light of Hope Awards hosted by Christopher's Clubhouse honors the individuals that go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of children.

The event brings together philanthropists, law enforcement, legislators and the community to pay tribute each year to exceptional individuals. Past recipients have included Ed Smart (father of Elizabeth Smart), Riverside County Supervisor John Benoit, actress Carol Channing and more.

Michael Reagan (son of President Reagan) will be honored with the Champion for Children Award for his lasting contributions to eradicate child sexual assault.

Officer Jacobs will be given the distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award for her adamant resolve in pursuing the rescue of Jaycee Dugard. Jacobs commented, "It is an honor to be recognized for my past and current efforts to educate law enforcement, parents and children on the importance of listening to your intuition."

The Light of Hope Awards Gala will be May 3, 2014 at the Agua Caliente Resort, 32-250 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage, CA. 6:00-10:00 p.m.
