VIRGO Evolves to Connect Attendees with Exhibitors

As the VIRGO SupplySide brand continues to evolve, we’re excited to announce the name has changed from SupplySide Marketplace to Ingredient MarketPlace, a SupplySide event. The new name reflects VIRGO’s commitment to connect ingredient buyers with ingredient suppliers. This year’s Expo is set for June 2-3, 2014 at the Jacob Javits Center in N.Y.C. Early bird registration is $99 and includes: 2-day expo hall access, “Trends In presentations”, keynote speakers, Drinks on Us reception and Ingredient IQ.

“As we continue to develop this event, we defined the expo as a marketplace, enabling us to create a buyer/seller connection,” said Jon Benninger, vice president of VIRGO Health & Nutrition Network.
“Everything at this year’s expo is geared towards connecting attendees with exhibitors to find innovative ingredients to create their next product. Our goal is to take ingredient suppliers from around the world and connect them with ingredient buyers under one roof.”

Exhibitors will have storefronts instead of traditional booths, which will allow attendees to shake hands and meet the innovators behind the ingredient categories that are defining their products. The trade show will give buyers and suppliers an opportunity to network and create partnerships to fuel new products.

Research from last year’s attendees shows their desire to learn more about trends in different categories. This year’s hottest categories and “Trends In presentations” will include 30 minute presentations on: Omega 3’s, Probiotics, Protein, Amino Acids, Magnesium, Sweeteners, Antioxidants, Vitamin E and Carotenoids. The presentations are designed to help marketers and formulators differentiate their products, obtain market research on purchasing trends and sales, and discover examples of how the ingredients are being used in the global market.

“We’re expecting 4,000 leaders and decision makers from more than 20 countries at Ingredient MarketPlace,” said Benninger. “Companies from the global dietary supplement, food, beverage, animal nutrition, personal care, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and sports nutrition marketplace will be in attendance.”
