‘Heart of Leadership’ Author Mark Miller Encourages Leaders to Focus on Their Hearts This February
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- February is a time that we attempt to show others what they mean to us through gifts such as cards, chocolate, and flowers. It is a chance to show our character, nurture, and develop a relationship. Best-selling author and Chick-fil-A executive Mark Miller says it is no different for business leaders. In his latest book, “The Heart of Leadership: Becoming a Leader People Want to Follow,” Miller says leadership begins in the heart and shares 5 practical tips to strengthen the heart and become the type of leader that people want to follow. In celebration of the month of Valentine’s Day, Miller will be sharing special messages and giving away copies of “The Heart of Leadership.”
Miller will be giving away 10 copies of “The Heart of Leadership” at the month’s end through Twitter. Qualifying is as simple as tweeting using hashtag #heartmatters during February. On February 28, the author, with the Twitter handle @LeadersServe and more than 30,000 followers, will announce the names of the 10 winners via Twitter. Additionally, Miller will be sharing a special heart-themed blog post on his top-rated leadership website, GreatLeadersServe.org.
Miller says, “If you want to evaluate a leader, do it based on character. Leadership begins in the heart and if your heart isn’t right no one cares about your skills.” With abundant praise from leaders at all levels, from world-renowned CEOs to front-line managers, “The Heart of Leadership” details ways to cultivate the heart of leaders.
The book’s story follows the life of an ambitious young man named Blake, who has been passed over for a promotion despite his outstanding performance. Coached by a mentor, Blake learns through his personal journey that what holds most people back isn’t the quality of their skills but a lack of demonstrated leadership character that starts in the heart.
Miller invites leaders at all levels to join in the conversation on Twitter as well as his blog at GreatLeadersServe.org. Throughout the month, the website will be featuring information on “The Heart of Leadership” and the author along with special heart-themed activities and promotions.
