ISTRIA, Croatia (PRWEB) February 12, 2014

Maistra Hotels and Resorts, a leading accommodations provider in Croatia, announces that Istria-based Hotel Monte Mulini has been named one of the Leading Hotels of the World (LHW). This distinction adds Hotel Monte Mulini to an elite group of unique properties, giving it extra exposure to travelers across the globe.

Founded in 1928, LHW has grown from a small group of 38 hotels to 430 unique properties around the world. Each featured property meets LHW’s strict criteria for being both high quality and unique. The company scours the globe, pinpointing properties like castles, tent villages, and resorts with breathtaking views for inclusion in its list.

Hotel Monte Mulini opened in Istria in 2009, offering guests refuge in a Mediterranean paradise, surrounded by lush green trees and crystal blue waters. The property includes 99 rooms and 14 suites, many of which feature a view of the adjacent bay. Guests also enjoy nearby Rovinj, which is only a short walk from the hotel.

“For Maistra and the Monte Mulini, inclusion in the LHW offer, which is considered to be a guarantee of quality for five-star hotels, is another confirmation of the exceptional status that the Monte Mulini has in Croatia, but also in the regional tourist industry,” says Tomislav Popovic, CEO of Maistra. “This membership is just a reward for our work, which further motivates us and shows that we’re going in the right direction.”

Maistra makes every effort to provide a luxury vacation experience to its customers and Hotel Monte Mulini is no exception. The hotel features a world-class spa, which spans three floors of the property. With more than 4,300 square feet of scenic space, the spa offers such services as hydrotherapy, facials, reflexology, and body treatments. Fitness-minded guests can also take advantage of the spa’s classes, which include personal training and pilates, or train on the spa’s fitness equipment. A steam and sauna and a spa pool complete the experience.

LHW requires that each hotel in its directory meet its strict standards in a variety of areas, including ensuring the comfort of each guest, offering convenience to travelers, and remaining committed to the well-being of all visitors. To be considered, a hotel is subjected to a rigorous inspection and review, with only the top hotels being accepted.

Once the process is completed, accommodations are listed in a comprehensive directory, titled, The Leading Hotels of the World. The properties are also listed on LHW’s site, having been grouped into nine separate areas of the world, including the Caribbean, Oceania, and North and South America.

Hotel Monte Mulini is one of Maistra’s nine hotels and eight resorts, each of which features the same first-class customer service and luxury rooms. Located on a hillside on a Mediterranean landscape, Hotel Monte Mulini’s setting was described as “enchanting” by LHW.
