The TV and film world are waking up to the potential of self-published novels and stories and we are very pleased to be bringing this new service to our members.

London, London (PRWEB UK) 12 February 2014

The nonprofit professional association for self-publishing writers, The Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi), announces a deal with Dialogue_Berlin, offering their members a crucial foothold in the world of dramatic rights.

The deal allows ALLi members to submit their work for consideration amongst Dialogue’s network of producers and production companies. Working directly with ALLi, Dialogue_Berlin will source the best self-published stories from their members, enabling ALLi members greater exposure into the burgeoning world of book-to-screen adaptation.

Borne out of a bookshop in Berlin, Dialogue_Berlin is involved in book-scouting for producers and production companies across the world, and development of stories for screen. Alongside various independent production companies in Hollywood, Dialogue_Berlin also work for FremantleMedia - one of the world’s largest production companies for television. Their work draws attention to compelling new ideas, illuminating stories and forthcoming trends for TV and Film adaptation.

The deal will also see Sharmaine Lovegrove, Founder and Director of Publishing at Dialogue_Berlin offering a monthly blog post for ALLi on trends in film and TV adaptations.

“The TV and film world are waking up to the potential of self-published novels and stories and we are very pleased to be bringing this new service to our members,” said Orna Ross, Director of The Alliance of Independent Authors. “The world of TV and film rights is a difficult one to negotiate and Dialogue’s personal touch will help supplement the rights platforms IPR Licence and PubMatch and the paid services offered by Voyage Media, which our members already use to negotiate rights.”

Sharmaine Lovegrove commented, “Having long admired the work of Orna Ross and the ALLi team, I am thrilled to be in a position to read great self-published works from ALLi members and bring prospective projects to my pool of film and television clients.”
