Get Scheduled, Cloud Based Scheduling Software, is Shortlisted for Best Technology Partnership at the Sports Technology Awards 2014
Reading, Berkshire (PRWEB UK) 17 February 2014 -- Get Scheduled, online workforce management software (http://www.getscheduled.co.uk/getscheduled), is shortlisted in the Best Technology Partnership category at the inaugural Sports Technology Awards 2014 .
The Sports Technology Awards recognize the increasingly important role that technology plays in sport, and honours technological innovation across all aspects of the sports sector. The awards celebrate the positive effect technological advances have for officials, players and spectators, and those shortlisted include technology companies, sporting bodies and clubs as well as large global brands.
Get Scheduled is shortlisted in the Best Technology Partnership category for its work with the ICC Champions Trophy 2013, providing a complete event workforce management solution (http://www.getscheduled.co.uk/getscheduled-pro/sports-major-event-management) for the ‘Cricketeers’ volunteer programme.
Get Scheduled’s volunteer management software (http://www.getscheduled.co.uk/volunteer-management-software) helped a small administration team manage over 3,000 volunteer applications through to the selection and deployment of 800 Cricketeers over 18 days and across 3 venues in the summer of 2013.
Get Scheduled provided a dynamic application form, capturing the required information for the Cricketeers management team to easily select the most suitable candidates for interview. Once chosen the volunteers, through the Get Scheduled system, were notified of training times and venues based on their application preferences.
Get Scheduled’s scheduling tools enabled complex schedules to be created easily for both training and event deployment. The Cricketeers management team were able to make changes and manipulate the schedule quickly as required, and automatic email communications kept volunteers fully informed.
Volunteers were able to see their up coming shifts, contact information and venue maps via a dedicated private web-based portal and this portal also provided the Cricketeers management team with a check-in process for each shift at each venue.
“We are delighted to be shortlisted in the Sports Technology Awards,” said Jane Webber, Get Scheduled’s General Manager, “we stand alongside so many great innovations, it’s a real honour.”
Workforce management software (http://www.getscheduled.co.uk/workforce-management-software) enables sports and event organisers to manage their staff and volunteers more effectively by providing them with the tools to simplify the scheduling and communication process. Simple shift planning and automatic communications help to reduce administration time and provides a clear delivery of information for organisers and workforce alike.
The Sports Technology Awards will take place at The Brewery, London, on the 4th April 2014.
