Hartford, Conn. (PRWEB) February 12, 2014

The Hartford Business Journal, the only audited weekly, subscription-based business publication in Connecticut, today announced it will publish the inaugural issue of Doing Business in Connecticut, a comprehensive economic development guide, in June 2014.

“By showcasing the state’s rich pool of business assets and highlighting the growth potential for businesses in the area, we hope to solidify ‘Doing Business in Connecticut’ as the go-to resource for economic development professionals, site selectors and business leaders,” Gail Lebert, Publisher, Hartford Business Journal, said.

A testament to the importance of a comprehensive business resource such as this, Doing Business in Connecticut is endorsed by Governor Dannel P. Malloy and the Department of Economic and Community Development’s Commissioner Catherine Smith. In a letter of support for the project, Governor Malloy noted Doing Business in Connecticut will “demonstrate why so many companies and their employees appreciate the clear advantages of working and living in Connecticut.”

To supplement the annual, printed guide, Hartford Business Journal is creating a dedicated microsite for Doing Business in Connecticut which will be updated with timely economic development opportunities throughout the year. Features in both the print and online editions will include: growth industries and industry clusters; key employment sectors; business leaders and innovators making a difference; and, Connecticut facts and figures.

“Connecticut’s business landscape is constantly evolving and we want local, regional and national businesses to know about, and have the opportunity to seize, the many advantages that come with being part of this dynamic business community,” Lebert said.
