Fastlane Communications LLC, a strategic communications and engagement firm, today announced that it has launched a new Sports & Entertainment practice, providing clients with consulting on digital marketing, SocialPR and sponsorships as well as event marketing, TV and digital production and rights negotiations. It will be led by industry veteran Ed Manetta.
The new business unit will strategically match brands with appropriate sports events and integrated sales and digital marketing programs with an emphasis towards activation, execution and new revenue streams. Fastlane will also facilitate the development of digital channels for brands to expand their base for promotional, educational and entertainment activities.
Through a recent strategic partnership with Grand Schema, a film and television production company based in New York, the Fastlane Sports & Entertainment practice will be offering TV and web programming, including documentary and reality programming, live sporting events and an extensive high school sports platform.

Prior to joining Fastlane, Mr. Manetta was a consultant with Hypertechnology Partners and part of Google/YouTube’s sports executive team. Earlier, he worked with Hill and Knowlton to oversee the Allstate’s Olympic sponsor program. Prior to that, he served as head of Edelman Worldwide’s Sports & Entertainment Division. Over the course of his career, Mr. Manetta also served as athletic director at both St. John’s University and DePaul University.
