PCPCC and HealthCAWS to Co-Host Webinar for National Audience on Importance of Consumer Engagement in Primary Care Medical Home
Washington, DC (PRWEB) February 13, 2014 -- The Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC) and HealthCAWS® will co-host a webinar at 12 noon EST today focused on advancing consumer engagement industry wide. HealthCAWS Chairman & CEO, Rose Maljanian will address industry trends and provide an overview of the Consumer eHealth Readiness Tool (CeRT). She will be joined by Gary Ozanich PhD of Northern Kentucky University who will provide attendees with an overview of Kentucky Health Information Exchange’s (KHIE) experience using the tool with their hospital and providers groups.
According to PCPCC’s recent Annual Report, Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMH) that include successful consumer engagement strategies are crucial to ensuring accountability in patient care, resulting in positive health outcomes. “We are pleased to offer this webinar to our stakeholders in an effort to stress the importance of consumer engagement and its assessment at the organizational level,” said Marci Nielsen, PhD, MPH, CEO of the PCPCC.
HealthCAWS views consumer engagement as critical to its organizational focus on Combining Accountability With Support-“the CAWS™.” HealthCAWS has developed tools and technology to help providers drive progression along the consumer engagement continuum as well as advance quality and improve cost within an accountable care environment.

In addition KHIE, has purchased a bundle of licenses for the Consumer eHealth Readiness Tool (CeRT)-powered by HealthCAWS for many of their hospital and medical group participants.
