Mercy College Announces New Member of the Board of Trustees
Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. (PRWEB) February 14, 2014 -- Mercy College Board of Trustees Chairman Gary Brown is pleased to announce that Kay Cioffi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sequitor Partners, has joined the College’s Board of Trustees.
"Ms. Cioffi brings tremendous leadership experience and a deep commitment and understanding of the importance of higher education,” said Brown. “We look forward to her contributions to Mercy College as the newest member of the board.”
Cioffi said: “Mercy College is well known for its inclusive spirit and the exceptional focus it puts on student achievement, empowering them to achieve their personal best. I am honored and eager to be involved in helping to shape its future.”
As the head of her company, Sequitor Partners, Cioffi provides branding and positioning for high-level executives. Prior to establishing Sequitor Partners Cioffi was an executive search consultant at Heidrick & Struggles. She started her career at Electronic Data Systems.
Cioffi is also senior advisor to the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT), a non-profit community of more than 500 universities, companies, non-profits, and government organizations nationwide working to increase women’s participation in computing and technology. She co-chairs the Development Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee. Cioffi has previously served on the Girls Inc. of Westchester County Board as co-chair of the Board, Chair of the Board Development Committee and member of the Fund Development Committee.
Cioffi has an undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University and attended the Women's Director Development program at the Kellogg School of Management. She lives in West Harrison, New York with her two daughters and husband Joseph Cioffi, a Corporate Partner and Chair of the Insolvency Solutions and Creditor’s Rights practice with Davis & Gilbert LLP.
