MedSys Group Names Nancy Miracle as a Senior Strategic Advisor Within its Advisory Services Team
Plano, TX (PRWEB) February 18, 2014 -- MedSys Group today announced the introduction of Nancy Miracle, as a Senior Strategic Advisor within its Advisory Services Division. Over the past year the company has assembled the most innovative group of leaders in the Healthcare IT market, to attract the best technologists, clinicians, program managers, and IT and Healthcare strategists to create a practice that can truly align with the company’s vision of evolving healthcare. Miracle will work closely with clients across the country to solve clinical, financial, and operational process issues arising from a rapidly changing technology driven environment.
“With the complexities of delivering care today in an automated manner, the past style of 'installing' a system simply isn't successful. The current environment is a tightrope made up of regulatory requirements, evolving standards of practice and safety issues, satisfaction needs for patients and providers, and fiscal efficiencies,” Steven Heck, MedSys Group President said. “To do this effectively, the processes surrounding the EMR have expanded far beyond picking a system and turning it on - it's a carefully considered, orchestrated and choreographed activity. We are extremely pleased to have Nancy join our team while bringing depth and experience to our clients, focusing our success on our client's ability to dance upon the tightrope.”
Miracle’s career has spanned clinical nursing, case management, and moved into the technology realm at Cerner Corporation and CareScience. Influenced by work with David Brailer, MD, PhD, and recognizing the impact government would have on healthcare, Miracle has served as a member of the HITSP committee, the CCHIT committee, and as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Prior to her current role, Miracle was Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for Phoenix Health Systems, where her focus was on helping providers solve problems surrounding the delivery of care in a technology world.
“The delivery of care is undergoing enormous stress right now; the impacts of government and regulatory requirements, the expectations of internet-savvy baby boomers who live longer with chronic conditions, and the expectations of providers for immediate information and computer influenced 'safety nets' for their practice are all converging at the same time the economic climate is dramatically shifting,” Miracle said. “Healthcare organizations need to understand the value electronic health data can bring, how it can be used to improve key influencers in their populations, and how to move into the age of sharing data safely to achieve even greater values. I am honored to join a team with the depth and experience to understand the internal and external drivers in the industry, and have the expertise to tailor solutions specific to each of our relationships.”
