San Diego’s Gas Lamp District proudly welcomes the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) for its 38th Annual Conference & Golf Tournament at the Marriott Marquis and Marina. NASSCO strives to improve the success rate of everyone involved in the pipeline rehabilitation industry through education, technical resources, and industry advocacy. This year’s theme will be Bavarian complete with an “Octoberfest Style” Beer Garden. During the meeting there will be several “break-out” meetings to discuss developing news for the various pipe rehab technical committees. TRIC Tools, Inc., a member of the (IPBA) International Pipe Bursting Association, also plans to participate in the Lateral, Latin America and Rehab Zone Committee meetings. During the conference, Michael Lien, TRIC's Director of Operations' will represent TRIC’s technology and help support the upcoming Lateral Pipe Bursting Committee.
Every year a number of technical papers are presented at the conference to keep members abreast of the changing technology and in-field business practices of NASSCO members. Some of the papers this year will focus on: Pressure Pipe Investigation and Rehabilitation; a Municipal Forum Panel to discuss industry needs for the rehabilitation industry; updates on the acoustic sewer tools; and a discussion on the elimination of potential cross-bores.
In addition, the Annual Meeting will focus on the 2014-15 Budget Plan, and Board Meetings. TRIC Tools looks forward to take part in the growing need for lateral pipe bursting inspector training as more and more cities grapple with the issue of inflow and infiltration (I&I) and Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO’s). Many coastal cities are taking a proactive approach with these issues. Every year competing organizations get together to have fun and work, celebrate to improve the industry for all member companies.
