Hydrogen Leadership Team Reunites With Creative Powerhouse Michael McGrath
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) February 13, 2014 -- Hydrogen announces Michael McGrath to the leadership team in Seattle. Michael, an award-winning creative director, art director and designer, rejoins former coworkers from both Seattle and Chicago after a 5-year stint at DRAFTFCB Chicago. There he led efforts for SC Johnson, Aramark, Nestlé Foods and Sharpie.
“His work has been recognized not only by clients, but also the industry. In the past year alone, Michael’s work has been featured in Communication Arts, British Design and Art Direction and The One Show,” said Tom Scherer, co-founder of Hydrogen. “We’re excited to put Mike’s creative influence to work for Hydrogen’s clients.”
McGrath also brings a strong business background to the leadership team. At Starbucks Coffee Co., he led a team of 35 to create day-to-day marketing programs for the U.S. and Canadian markets. “It’s rare to find a creative mind that can maneuver so well in the business space,” said Rick Peterson, Hydrogen president and co-founder. “His combination of creative skill, B2B knowledge, and consumer sensibility is a perfect fit for us.”
McGrath started his career in New England working on high tech and B2B clients, and moved to Seattle soon after. It was at FCB Seattle where McGrath joined forces with the leaders of Hydrogen on accounts like Boeing, AAA Washington and Group Health.
As vice president, creative director, Michael will work closely with Scherer and co-executive creative director Mary Knight to continue to elevate the creative product for Hydrogen clients. While it’s the second time Scherer and Peterson have worked with McGrath, this marks the third time he and Knight have joined forces. “Michael is smart, talented and shares our goal of elevating the work and solving problems for clients,” said Knight. “It was a no-brainer to bring him into the fold.”
