Cherokee-Owned Company Wins $8.7M Contract Supporting U.S. Marine Corps Reserve
Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) February 13, 2014 -- Cherokee Nation Technology Solutions (CNTS), a division of Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB), was recently awarded its first contract with the U.S. Marine Corps. The $8.7 million contract includes a range of services for the Marine Forces Reserve division, which oversees approximately 100,000 marines and 187 training centers throughout the U.S. The two-year contract provides support services for planning and programming, capital improvements and asset management.

Through operational analysis and asset evaluation, the Cherokee-owned company is providing valuable recommendations on mission-readiness. These findings are summarized into quarterly comprehensive reports, presentations and best-practice trainings to ensure the division remains on schedule and within budget.

CNTS is executing the onsite analysis of all 75 MARFORRES locations to ensure mission-readiness and compliance with Department of Defense and Navy/Marine Corps governance for future infrastructure planning and facility requirements. The findings from these visits are the key component in the Marine Corps’ future budget recommendations to Congress for capital improvements, facility reconditioning and new construction.
