ChopChop Magazine Named a Winner of a 2014 Parents’ Choice Magazine Award - Gold
Watertown, MA (PRWEB) February 14, 2014 -- ChopChop Magazine, the nonprofit quarterly food magazine for kids aged 5-12 and their families, has been named a winner of a 2014 Parents’ Choice Magazine Award (Gold) from the Parents’ Choice Foundation, the nation’s oldest nonprofit guide to quality children’s media.
“ChopChop magazine is designed to interest kids in food, to encourage them to try new things, and to build their skill in preparing food” writes Barbara Chamberlin of the Parents’ Choice Foundation. “It hit each mark in our reviewers' households, leaving parents and children looking forward to the next edition, as the dog-eared previous months gather post-it notes of recipes to return to.”
Established in 1978, Parents’ Choice Foundation has been reviewing and recommending children’s media to provide parents with reliable and unbiased information about high quality products. A panel of educators, scientists, artists, librarians, parents, and children determines the award winners.
“It is truly an honor to receive this prestigious award for the second year in a row from the country’s oldest evaluator of children’s media. It means a lot to us- and most importantly it means a lot to parents - to get this kind of acknowledgment,” said Sally Sampson, Founder and President of ChopChopKids, the publisher of ChopChop Magazine.
Parents’ Choice Awards committee members identify the very best products for children of different ages and backgrounds, and of varied skill and interest levels. The Parents’ Choice Awards multi-tiered evaluation process is a lengthy and confidential one. The Parents’ Choice Awards committee members hail from across the country and are experts in all areas of industry and interest. Approximately 20% of those items submitted to the Parents’ Choice Awards™ program receive a commendation in one of the six award levels: Classic, Gold, Silver, Recommended, Approved, and Fun Stuff.
