Dania Beach Announces the Second Annual Arts & Seafood Celebration
Dania Beach, Florida (PRWEB) February 14, 2014 -- It’s that time of year again to mark your calendars to Catch the Wave of the Dania Beach Arts and Seafood Celebration. The Dania Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (DBCRA) proudly presents the award winning, second annual Dania Beach Arts and Seafood Celebration on Saturday and Sunday, March 29 and 30, 2014 from 10:00 am to 7:00pm on both days in Frost Park, located at 300 NE 2nd Street in Dania Beach. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better and is truly positioned to be the premier, unique “Spring Happening” for Dania Beach and South Florida. This free event is filled with beautiful art, delicious seafood, exciting interactive creative experiences and live entertainment.
Some of the exciting news to announce is the return of several local Dania Beach musicians including David Nuby and Friends featuring Ebony Diaz, Josh and the Pitt Bulls, and Whipping Post, rounding out with a headline performance by the returning Latin Band Orquesta Brava, an 11 piece band established in 1998. Another returning feature is the massive Sand Sculpture. This year the “to be announced” theme for the sculpture will be created with over 100 tons of sand and will take several days to complete. This exciting creative process with the finished masterpiece revealed on Sunday afternoon is not to be missed.
Plan to attend both days. Parking is free at the Dania Casino (Jai Alai). Bring lawn chairs and blankets; relax and enjoy great entertainment and delicious food; and stroll through the Fine Arts Treasure Cove and Crafters Island. With activities for all ages, there will be something fun for everyone in the family. Some great family attractions include: The Sand Clinic, Lets Paint the Fire Truck, Professor Clark the Science Shark, Macaroni Kids, and The Under the Sea Art Mural.
The artists committee anticipates that the event will double in size with creative art vendors and anticipate hosting between 75 - 100 art and artisan booths. Both collectors of fine art and new lovers of art, can expect to find something special that you will want to own and enjoy! Kenzie Award for Cultural Enhancement. “We have a very special feeling for the town, for its past, and for its future and we are very proud of that,” said Bo Donly, Chair of the Dania Beach Creative Arts Advisory Board.
