Greenberg Traurig Elevates 3 New Jersey Attorneys
MORRISTOWN, N.J (PRWEB) February 14, 2014 -- The New Jersey office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP has elevated three attorneys. Kate Kalmykov, Business Immigration & Compliance, was elevated to shareholder. Andrew Abramson, Intellectual Property & Technology, and Lennie Bersh, Intellectual Property & Technology, were elevated to of counsel.
Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig elevated 33 attorneys to shareholder and 11 to of counsel positions. In keeping with the firm’s strategic focus on strengthening key areas of practice with top-tier practitioners.
Kalmykov represents clients in a wide-range of employment based immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters including students, trainees, professionals, managers and executives, artists and entertainers, treaty investors and traders, persons of extraordinary ability and immigrant investors. She has extensive experience working on EB-5 immigrant investor matters and regularly works with developers across a variety of industries, as well as private equity funds on developing new projects that qualify for EB-5 investments. Kalmykov splits her time between the firm’s New Jersey and New York offices. Among Kalmykov’s many accolades, she was listed as one of EB5Investor magazine’s 2013 “Top 25 EB-5 Attorneys”, listed in the 2013 Chambers USA Guide and was listed in New Jersey Law Journal’s “New Leaders of the Bar,” 2012. She received her J.D. from American University College of Law.
Abramson is experienced in drafting and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications relating to a variety of fields and also has experience in patent portfolio development and management. He has worked with a range of clients in computer technology, e-commerce, medical devices, business methods, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering. Prior to entering the legal profession, he was a computer engineer at Raytheon. Abramson was a member of the winning team for the New Jersey Law Journal’s “General Litigation Department of the Year.” He received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
Bersh is experienced in patent prosecution, litigation, licensing and opinion work in the financial and business methods, computer software, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and mechanical art areas. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and was a member of the winning team for the New Jersey Law Journal’s “General Litigation Department of the Year.” Bersh received his J.D. from New York Law School, LL.M. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and M.B.A. from City University of New York at Baruch College.
