Steve Fisher Elected to MEC Board of Directors

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. (MEC) today announced that Steve Fisher was elected to the company’s board of directors. Fisher recently retired from Caterpillar after a successful 36 year career with the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.

“I’m pleased to have Steve join our board and bring his thought leadership and experience with him,” said Robert Kamphuis, chairman, president and CEO of MEC. “Steve has extraordinary business and financial expertise. Mr. Fisher most recently held the position of vice president of the Large Power Systems & Growth Markets Division at Caterpillar. During the course of his long and distinguished career at the company, Fisher played an important role in acquiring and integrating companies in the rail, mining, and energy sectors, among others. He was responsible for strategic and product planning, product development and manufacturing for multiple Caterpillar businesses. Under his leadership, the company’s remanufacturing business grew significantly to become the recognized world leader. Fisher holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Bradley University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
