RF Safe is encouraging everyone that suffers from health effects related to electro sensitivity from wireless radiation or anyone surviving a friend or family member whose death may have been attributed to electromagnetic radiation exposure from wireless hand-held devices to join the online registry.
RF Safe Founder, John Coates says “I want to help people to step forward so they aren’t mere statistics, and give them a chance to be a big help pushing the evolution of safer wireless technologies forward at an accelerated rate.”
Cellphones are a technology which is new enough that studies haven’t been able to prove phone radiation causes health hazards such as brain cancer from exposure to non-ionizing frequencies of radio frequency radiation.
However, there are enough studies showing a link between negative health effects and cell phone radiation that the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) published detailed documentation for its yearlong 2011 expert review—which declared cell phone radiation a “possible human carcinogen” Class 2B (same as lead and DDT) This can be reviewed from the FCC’s website http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs/document/view?id=7022311516
“It’s absolutely crazy to see headlines that say there is no health risk with exposure to cell phone radiation,” says Coates
Last month, FCC chairman Tom Wheeler was surprised in Silicon Valley by the growing dissonance among its local community about the government’s lack of action to protect the American people. RF Safe’s Founder said that he will be one of the first to join the registry, as he believes his wife’s occupational exposure to microwave radiation attributed to the birth defect that took his daughter’s life in 1995.
After the death of his daughter, John claims that his eyes were opened to the potential hazards of RF Radiation, a few years later he started RF Safe in 1998 - its website rfsafe.com has “a focus on evolving the wireless industries safety standards, by engaging in the business of design, testing, manufacture, and sale of safety technologies to mitigate harmful effects of cell phone radiation.”
