Toms River, NJ (PRWEB) February 18, 2014
Taking a dive into icy cold waters during frigid winter temperatures may seem crazy, but for thousands across the country, it is a tradition and a successful fundraiser. Returning to Seaside Heights, New Jersey on Saturday, February 22, 2014 is the Polar Bear Plunge where participants brave the Atlantic Ocean’s chilly waters to support Special Olympics New Jersey.
As many daredevils took the Plunge last month in Wildwood, New Jersey, Special Olympics New Jersey has raised over $920,000. Registration begins at 9:00 am and the Plunge is scheduled for 1:00 pm. Businesses will be open along the boardwalk for guests to enjoy throughout the day.
