Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) February 18, 2014
nChannel, a Columbus, Ohio-based cloud-based retail management platform provider for multi-channel sales retailers, has been named one of five startups to watch in 2014 by the regional economic development group Columbus 2020.
According to Victor Thorne, managing director, strategic development for Columbus 2020, nChannel is poised for exponential growth over the next three to five years.
“nChannel CEO Steve Weber is a great representation of the type of entrepreneur that Columbus 2020 wants to attract,” explains Thorne. “Steve came into the region, became quickly incubated and supported, grew a talented team, and acquired a significant client base.”
With support from Columbus 2020, nChannel was able to identify needs early and connect to resources such as TechColumbus and Ohio TechAngel Funds to place them on the path to strong growth, adds Thorne. The company captured significant clients early on and retained a recurring revenue stream while growing its customer base, making it a very appealing choice as a startup to watch in 2014.
nChannel's services for retailers include connecting existing sales systems with external sites. Its subscribers sell more than 1.8 million products in more than 530 brick-and-mortar, marketplace, and online stores. In 2013, more than 660,000 consumers spent in excess of $225 million with nChannel subscribers, including more than $12 million in eBay and Amazon transactions. The growing startup, launched in July 2011, has connected to 17 other platforms, has established 28 authorized resellers, and has maintained a 23 percent monthly growth rate over the past year.
