CallingID, a leading safe-browsing software provider, announced today that MyFacePrivacy, a free social-network privacy protection tool, is now available for use with Google+. The announcement follows last month's launch of the software on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Additionally, MyFacePrivacy's recommended policy prohibits social networks from using images or any personal details in advertisements, such as those that are at the center of the Facebook settlement case.
"While we expect that the uptick in lawsuits brought against social networks' privacy policies will strengthen significantly in the next several years, we hope that our software will allow users to safely and easily navigate complex and hard-to-understand privacy policies," said Yair Nissan, Executive Vice President of CallingID. "Following the initial success of MyFacePrivacy on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, we anticipate a similar reception from Google+ users and look forward to rolling out the platform on additional social networks in the near future."
In addition to MyFacePrivacy, CallingID's suite of safe-browsing solutions includes Link Advisor 2.0, SafeSearch, MultiSearch and Safe LogIn. The company's customers include some of the world's largest desktop security companies as well as leading ISPs.
CallingID’s suite of software solutions and value added ISP services have been protecting millions of consumers from phishing, fraud, identity-theft and web attacks since 2004. In addition to providing a safe browsing experience for end-users, CallingID's safe-search and multi-search solutions provide novel opportunities to monetize software.
