Hartford Business Journal to Host Inaugural Municipal Collaboration Summit
Hartford, CT (PRWEB) February 18, 2014 -- On March 14th, the Hartford Business Journal will convene municipal leaders, including town managers, town engineers, superintendents, mayors, town attorneys and town financial services professionals, for a series of workshops and panel presentations focused on increasing efficiency and controlling costs through collaboration.
“When towns are faced with shrinking budgets and increased demands, the need for creative and cost-effective solutions rises,” Gail Lebert, publisher of the Hartford Business Journal, said. “We’re excited to bring together town leaders for this unique event and hope it will become an annual occurrence.”
Hartford Business Journal’s Municipal Collaboration Summit will kick-off with the session “Success of M.O.R.E. Commission in 2013 legislative session & 2014 legislative agenda.” The opening session will be followed by breakout sessions on such topics as Regionalizing Health and Human Services Delivery Systems, Regionalizing Education, Regional Collaborations for Purchasing Efficiencies, and a Tax Reform Workshop. In addition to highlighting additional opportunities for increasing efficiency through collaboration, the event will highlight municipalities who have already made positive changes and harnessed the transformative power of collaboration.
