Milwaukee Awesome Job campaign aims to attract more ambitious, tech-savvy talent to fill newly created local jobs.

GlobalSource IT, a staffing and consulting firm concentrating in the niche IT area of enterprise resource planning (ERP), is looking to add to their sales and recruiting teams and has taken a unique, innovative approach to fill their newly created local jobs.

“Job seekers are tired of the old process of scouring the big job boards and applying for jobs. It’s boring, it’s mundane, and honestly, the whole process goes against the culture we’ve established here as a company,” said GlobalSource IT Vice President of Operations Mark Koenig.

In an attempt to attract younger, more ambitious, and tech-savvy talent to their company, GlobalSource IT has launched their Milwaukee Awesome Job campaign. An all-out leveraging of traditional and new media alike, the campaign’s bedrock is a new job website, The entire initiative is a unique approach in talent acquisition, one that utilizes all available outlets including viral video, social media and billboards strategically placed throughout the city.

“We’re an industry leader and a household name to the Fortune 1000; the most progressive niche consulting firm in the Midwest,” said Koenig. “We’re serious when it comes down to what we do but at the same time one of the biggest draws our company has to offer is the culture. So to announce that we’re creating new local jobs right here in the Brew City, we just wanted to have a little fun.”
And that’s exactly what they did with the sites “feature film”.

“We like to think that we’re not your typical firm. Delivering our message in this way, we believe, helps show that to prospective employees,” said Koenig. “We like to do things differently here and hope that this proves to be a better way to tell people about our company.”

In an effort to expand the overall reach of the campaign, outdoor advertising around the city has also been promoting Digital signage in high traffic locations such as outside of Miller Park and Potawatomi Casino are among the seven locations that display the company’s new job website.
