“This appearance is an industry first” noted store owner Jon Cohen. “Comic book stores usually play second fiddle, but thanks to Scholastic Books and creator Jimmy Gownley we were able be the host for his new graphic novel’s national release.” Gownley’s acclaimed Amelia Rules! book series ranks highly among the best-selling all ages graphic novels , notes Mr. Cohen. “And we anticipate this new book to be right up there with other notable graphic novels such as Bone and Amulet.

In addition to his store appearances and in conjunction with Frederick County and Montgomery County Public School systems Jimmy Gownley will be hosting presentations at four local schools. These Schools will be featuring Gownley’s fan favorite “How do Cartoonist Get Their Ideas?" interactive presentation.
