Guiding Lights Technology and Integrated Vehicle Technology Announce Joint Venture to Provide the global Rail Industry with state-of-the-art CCTV
Toronto, Canada & London, UK (PRWEB) February 20, 2014 -- Guiding Lights Technology (GLT) and Integrated Vehicle Technology (IVT) today announced they had formed a joint venture company “IVT OmniView Limited”.
The new company will provide the global rail industry with world leading state-of-the-art technology CCTV camera systems with Colour Night Vision that include Forward and Rear Facing CCTV for train drivers cab’s, Fixed-Site CCTV for Level Crossings and Station Platforms, and Portable CCTV for covert Security and Surveillance Operations.
All camera systems will feature Encryption technology for data security, Colour Night Vision for 24X7 High Definition full colour video, and Wide Dynamic Range–Dynamic Capture (WDR-DC) to eliminate video distortion from sunlight and other light sources at night.
Said Graham Stokes, Chairman & CEO of Guiding Lights Technology, “these CCTV systems are custom designed to meet Train Operating Companies and Transport Police, Passenger Safety, Security, Training and Cost Reduction mission objectives. They will also reduce the delay times and cost caused by Suicides and Level Crossing Accidents. In conclusion Stokes added “our decision to form the joint venture company with IVT is timely in light of the recent derailments and fatalities in North America. This has resulted in two US Senators in Washington DC urging the Federal Railroad Administration to mandate cameras on board passenger locomotives and operating cab cars in order to provide detailed information on potential derailments”
Steve Ward, Managing Director of IVT Ltd, an IRIS accredited company said “We knew that current Forward Facing CCTV systems with conventional black and white or thermal night vision systems were unable to assist police or security forces identify perpetrators of crime, or provide credible video evidence to secure successful convictions. We also understood the privacy requirements of our customers. We responded to these concerns with our partners by developing Colour Night Vision with Encrypted video and WDR-DC technologies. In conclusion Ward added “We are delighted to form the joint venture company with Guiding Lights Technology in North America to serve the global rail industry to increase the safety and satisfaction of their customers.
