Prestigious Designation Acknowledges BearCom's High Levels of Technical Expertise, Customer Service, and Deployment Management

BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications equipment and solutions, today announced it has been designated a Motorola Service Elite Specialist by Motorola Solutions, a reflection of BearCom’s ability to sell, design, deploy, support, and service the highest tiers of Motorola products and solutions as a direct representative.

“Even though we sell only the highest-quality wireless communications equipment, we recognize that it sometimes needs service and repair,” said Jerry Denham, BearCom’s President & CEO. “Our Technical Services Group is staffed by more than 100 experienced, factory-trained technicians. It’s their experience and expertise that are being recognized by BearCom’s designation as a Motorola Service Elite Specialist.”

The designation is to be used when BearCom acts as a Motorola subcontractor performing maintenance, installation, and warranty services for certain Motorola two-way radios, consoles, and subscriber units. It is for the year 2014 and subject to annual review.

Ian Torok, BearCom’s Director of Technical Services, said, “To be designated a Motorola Service Elite Specialist, an organization must meet numerous requirements, including accreditation as a Certified Service Center by an industry-recognized institution, as well as compliance with Motorola’s environmental health and safety policy. Also, a minimum number of a Service Partner’s technicians must attain certification and meet the training requirements necessary to perform certain services on new and existing Motorola radio systems and subscribers.”

BearCom branches nationwide have repair capabilities. Eight branches have authorization to act as Motorola’s direct servicing entity in their markets: Portland, Oregon; Costa Mesa, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; Dallas, Texas; Houston, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; Columbus, Ohio; and Chantilly, Virginia.

In addition to two-way radio repair and troubleshooting, the BearCom Technical Services Group offers extended warranties, service agreements, preventive maintenance plans, equipment installation and project management, turnkey system development and installation, radio site maintenance, and field service.
