Connecticut Health Council’s February Program to Examine America's Unhealthy Relationship with Food and the Impact on Our Economy, Health and National Security
Hartford, CT (PRWEB) February 18, 2014 -- The Connecticut Health Council, an association of health sector leaders who work together to promote Connecticut as a national center of health excellence and to improve health care and wellness, is pleased to host ‘A Weighty Issue: America’s Unhealthy Relationship with Food and the Impact on Our Economy, Health and National Security’ on Friday, February 21st from 7:30-9:30a.m. at The Bushnell, 166 Capitol Avenue in Hartford. Moderated by author and media personality Diane Smith, this engaging panel presentation will feature Marlene Schwartz, Director, Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity at Yale University; Dr. Garth Graham, President, Aetna Foundation, and former deputy assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Health; and Donna Laliberte O’Shea, MD, MBA, Medical Director for UnitedHealthcare’s Healthier Lives Model of Care.
