Joseph Federico, of NJ MET Clifton NJ, announced the company’s sixth year of relief efforts to aid families in Sri Lanka.
Over the past five years, Wayne, N.J. resident Joseph Federico has led a campaign at NJ MET, headquartered in NJ, to send clothes, pencils, notebooks, and toiletries to needy families housed in churches, temples and schools throughout Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka was devastated by a tsunami in 2004 and many of its citizens have been displaced by over 20 years of war.
The first shipment of clothing, candy, refreshments, and toiletries has already been collected and shipped out from NJ MET’s Clifton office according to Joseph Federico, VP and Director. “Our efforts are just starting up for the new year and we will hold a special candy drive in the upcoming April Easter/Passover holiday season,” said Federico from NJ MET’s headquarters located in Clifton NJ. “We plan on sending out a new shipment every few months. NJ MET’s employees and customers continue to make very generous contributions to our drives,” he continued.
