ILX Respond to New List of Project Management Trends in 2014
(PRWEB UK) 19 February 2014 -- A list of the top 10 trends in project management for 2014 has been released by ESI International, reports Zawya. Many predictions have been made about the industry and the place of project managers in business, including the observations that project managers are “learning to learn through virtual learning” and that project and program managers will be asked to spend more time "leading" rather than "managing" their teams.
J. LeRoy Ward, Executive Vice President at ESI International, said: "Past failures to improve project efficiencies force the need to 'pull out all of the stops' to deal with project complexity, implement new project management approaches, and adopt alternative leadership styles to improve project success for greater competitive advantage. In-demand project managers and leaders seem ready to face the challenge.
"Organizations are weary of projects that are over budget and late. So, they're looking to their project leaders to make the changes needed to repeatedly meet project milestones and achieve expected outcomes."
ILX, a leading provider of PRINCE2 training courses and other portfolio, programme and project management learning solutions, has commented on this list, a spokesperson for the company said:
“The role of a project manager is constantly evolving. This new list of trends for 2014 illustrates how vital training will be to ensuring that organisations have project managers that are capable of managing and leading projects to successful conclusions. The rise of virtual learning also supports our continued dedication to training through online learning programmes and gamification which we have seen increasing demand for. We have developed a number of digital games to enhance the learner experience including our award winning Snakes and Ladders revision game, which we utilise as part of our online learning programmes and within the classroom environment.”
