ProModel Corporation Releases AST 6.9 and DST 4.2, Custom Solutions for the US Army
Allentown, PA (PRWEB) February 19, 2014 -- ProModel Corporation, a leading predictive analytic BI software and services company, today announced the release of AST 6.9 (AFORGEN Synchronization Toolset) and DST 4.2 (Decision Support Tool), both custom predictive analytic software platforms used by the US Army. AST is used by the US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) to source and synchronize Army resources, and DST leads the Army Materiel Command (AMC) through the planning and execution of Army materiel distribution/redistribution.
These new release coincide with ProModel’s attendance at the AUSA Winter Symposium and Exposition held in Huntsville, Alabama – February 19th through the 21st. The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) supports all aspects of national security while advancing the interests of America's Army and the men and women who serve, and the exposition will include the professional development forum “America’s Army: Sustaining, Training and Equipping for the Future.”
AST is the authoritative system FORSCOM uses to conduct its unit planning and sourcing process in Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN). AST provides the Army with the means to view the predicted impact of today’s sourcing decisions on tomorrow’s utilization of Army personnel moving through ARFORGEN. AST “on screen” capabilities consolidates data from multiple sources, applies existing or “what if” business rules, predicts the outcome, and automatically depicts results thereby eliminating lengthy manual, linear, and presentation based methods previously employed. AST cuts development time for single Courses of Action from days to minutes, while enabling multiple Courses of Action within the same timeframe.
Some of the new features in AST 6.9 include: Improved Sourcing, Army Reserve, Army National Guard, and HQDA integration (tasks, etc.), additional Army Special Forces integration (risk), improved executive-level reporting (scorecard), improved Unit Cycle management, and dozens more enhancements.
ProModel also recently completed a “Financial Costing” proof of principal for FORSCOM that integrated data from the ARFORGEN Synchronization Toolset (AST) and the U.S. Army Force Generation Costing Tool (ACT) for analysis in ProModel’s Enterprise Portfolio Simulator (EPS).
DST is an unclassified, web-based, collaborative tool that matches validated, prioritized equipment demands with available Army inventory in depots, non-deployed units, and other sources. It also provides different scenarios for solving tough equipping distribution problems, helping equipment managers consider the impact of delivery times and transportation costs and the long term effects of any decisions. DST 4.2 will support the Army’s efforts to reorganize materiel within certain Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs) by loosely coupling Proposed Sourcing Decisions to Authorizations instead of Cycles. Enhancements include improved queries, clearer materiel quantity calculations, revised screens, and easier navigation within the DST application.
ProModel Corporation serves the United States Federal Government and Department of Defense by providing innovative and adaptable custom and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies and professional services that help synchronize operational needs, mitigate risk, and optimize resources.
“ProModel is proud of progress AST and DST have made over the years. These remarkable toolsets are now the go-to applications at FORSCOM and AMC. We are very excited to continue working with the Army and providing them with our innovative decision support technology,” said Keith Vadas, President and CEO, ProModel Corporation.
