Goodwill Community Foundation (GCF®), a Durham-based, tax-exempt organization dedicated to creating opportunities for a better life, announces the addition of GCF Family Support Services™ (GCF-FSS™). This no-cost program offers education and support to families of children with special needs in 21 counties across eastern North Carolina.
GCF-FSS™ has access to a broad network of resources and support that will increase the ability of GCF® to assist more families throughout eastern North Carolina. The services offered by GCF-FSS™ include parent mentoring, sibling support, information and resource databases, diagnosis specific organization referrals, NICU family support, group meetings and educational workshops.

GCF Family Support Services™ (GCF-FSS™) provides parent mentoring, peer support groups and education to families of children with developmental and intellectual disabilities, chronic illness, other special needs or those who are born prematurely. Children in 21 counties in eastern North Carolina benefit each day from trained parent mentors, sibling support activities, NICU family support, information and resources, referrals to diagnosis specific organizations as well access to a variety of other educational resources and information.
GCF-FSS™ operates from a belief that the greatest asset a child can have is a strong family.
